Dr. Raskin

Biography

As founder and medical director of Great Lakes Integrative Medicine/Great Lakes Integrative Medicine of Illinois, Dr. Ken Raskin specializes in bioidentical hormone therapy, preventative and integrative medicine and helping people work towards their health goals in Wisconsin, Illinois and the surrounding states.  He has dedicated his practice to helping men and women find relief from the symptoms and conditions of perimenopause, menopause, andropause, thyroid disorders, insulin resistance, fatigue, sleep issues and not feeling like themselves.

Dr. Raskin believes that to achieve true wellness, patients should be treated with a combination of current science and the art of medicine.  His passion lies in learning about the body and how it functions at the cellular level.    He then applies that knowledge in his clinical practice to help patients experience a higher quality of life while addressing the root cause of their health dysfunctions.    These treatments include using dietary changes, lifestyle changes, hormone therapies, peptide therapies and pharmaceutical grade supplements.

Education & Training

Dr. Raskin received his undergraduate degree from the University of California Santa Barbara in 1990 and went on to earn his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1994.  In 1998, he completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center.  He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and practiced in Nebraska for 5 years before moving to Wisconsin to continue his OB/Gyn practice.  Frustrated with how conventional medicine focused on disease after it had already progressed, he entered into a fellowship in Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine in 2009 and started focusing his medical practice in this direction.  In 2018 he expanded his Wisconsin integrative medical practice into Illinois and completed the transition away from conventional medicine.
